Today I have a tip to share with anyone interested in cultivating stronger and healthier relationships.  Begin with God by focusing on who He is and your relationship with Him.

Remember – “What is impossible with man is possible with God” (Luke 18:27)

Concentrate on how you see and understand God. I have talked with many discouraged people who limit God to their personally conceived notion of Him. They fail to recognize that their comprehension of God within the limitations of what our brain can accurately process is very limited and can never rise to seeing Him in His role as a truly sovereign God!

Charles Spurgeon, a preeminent author and preacher put it this way: “As well might a gnat seek to drink in the ocean, as a finite creature to comprehend the Eternal God.”

Are you limiting God’s ability to work in your own life by relegating His sovereignty to something less than reality? It’s worth pondering! Don’t limit the Lord! Anything is possible!

When you are in close relationship with God, all of your other relationships will benefit. It’s the best place to start!

How is your relationship with God?

There are many verses in the Bible about paths, and several about the “path of life”. The verse I quote most often is David’s in Psalm 16:11, which adds “with eternal pleasures at your right hand.” Is there anyone who wouldn’t want to be on this kind of path?

This is where the name of my coaching business comes from. It is not my path, but the Lord’s. He has a unique and special path laid out for each one of us. My work as a coach is to be a guide on your path, helping you to navigate around the obstacles and avoid and/or overcome the various roadblocks along the way.

Not only are we on a path to the life we will have for eternity with the Lord in glory, if we belong to Him, but we are on a path to a better and richer life here on earth. This life path can be one that leads to healthy and fulfilling relationships – with others, with God, and with yourself!

Are you on the path of abundant life? If you would like to learn more about how I can help you or whether we would be a good fit for a coaching relationship, send me a message and we will set up a time for a complimentary discovery call.,

I used to believe that I needed to defend myself when conversation became argumentative. I wanted my position to be justified. Instead of helping, this approach only brought more conflict. It seems that every close relationship will ultimately provide some conflict. How we choose to handle our disagreements and conflict makes a major difference in the health of the relationship.

The Holy Spirit has impressed upon my heart and mind a conviction that I cannot convince someone of something they are not ready or willing to hear or accept. It doesn’t matter if my position is “right” and theirs is “wrong”.

Frustration and misery can be avoided if we learn to be still and let the Lord fight our battles for us. The outcome will be well worth it!

Gods wisdom and revelation are free gifts to believers who seek and ask. They are key ingredients to spiritual growth. One of the major benefits of spiritual growth is the opening of a pathway to healthy and happy relationships. So, my tip for today is to make spiritual growth a priority in your life. God wants an increasingly intimate relationship with you!

As you grow closer to the Lord, you will come to a deeper understanding of His great love for you. Your capacity to love others will be enlarged, and you will become better equipped and enabled to establish and maintain healthy and enjoyable relationships. You will also enjoy a host of other benefits. Most importantly, you will establish a more intimate relationship with God.

Are you up for thinking and praying about ways that you can experience spiritual growth and greater intimacy with God?

Here’s to your health in 2024!

God desires for His children to be healthy and to enjoy healthy, loving relationships.

Loving others well begins with understanding and accepting God’s love for you and understanding that you are a precious child of God!

As He promises to bring health and healing to Jerusalem (Jeremiah 33:6), He wants you to be complete in Him and to fulfill His plan and purpose for you.

He will heal His people and they will enjoy abundant peace and security!

Are you going to accept God’s best for you in the new year?

We all experience various forms of turmoil in our lives. Often it’s a relationship that causes pain and suffering. We all would like to experience greater peace and contentment despite the storms that sometimes rage around us.

It is possible! This quote about peace from Charles Stanley is worth a close reading…

“God’s peace is not an escape from reality. We are not transfixed or somehow mentally ‘removed’ from feeling pain or struggling…Rather, peace is an undergirding rock-solid foundation so that no matter the tears we cry or the sorrow we feel, deep down inside we know with an abiding assurance that God is with us. God is in control, and the joy of the Lord is going to emerge far greater than any depth of agony we may be experiencing.”

This kind of peace is a principal focus of my coaching practice.

Here is Snoopy’s recipe for Balance!

The humor may outweigh the message about balance, but it helps to focus on the importance of balance in our daily living. I also think it is a fun message to begin a new week!

Balance is important for healthy relationships and it’s a subject that coaches can help their clients to work toward.

One of my passions as a coach is for helping clients to build and maintain healthy relationships.

I have concluded that the foundation for building healthy and lasting relationships begins with cementing our personal relationship with the Lord. From there we have the compass to guide us in the building, maintenance, and repair of our other relationships. The desire of my heart is to help women (and men) who are in unhealthy relationships, or are struggling to maintain an important relationship, navigate their way through to health, where that is possible, and freedom from any relationship that is determined to be beyond repair.

At the core of my coaching plan for every client is the underlying emphasis on personal spiritual growth that will help to deepen the client’s relationship and identity in Christ, which can enable the building of new and healthy relationships as well as lead to the healing of pain from past experiences.

If you or someone you know could benefit from relationship coaching, I hope you will reach out to me to set up a complimentary Discovery call!

Have you ever been a “fool for love”? I have!

We naturally tend to look to another person to give and receive the love that we all desire.

We unknowingly set ourselves up for disappointment with our expectation for security, only to find out that it isn’t really there.

A loving relationship has wonderful potential, but we usually learn, over time, that  human relationships are conditional and imperfect.

No human relationship can fulfill our underlying need for love that only our heavenly Father can provide.

As we learn to seek and to trust in His love, we can experience a perfect love that never disappoints. We learn of love from the one true source.

The security that we expect in a loving relationship can only be found in His loving arms.

Are you aware of, and learning to embrace, His great love for you?
