Do you need encouragement? Maybe you need a partner for your journey.

Hebrews 10:24 is a verse about encouragement. Paul tells us to think about the ways we can “spur one another on towards love and good deeds”. Synonyms for “spur” include to urge forward, encourage, motivate, prompt, propel, inspire, and stimulate.

As a coach, nothing brings a smile to my face faster than hearing that my client succeeded in reaching one of their goals.

Wouldn’t it help to have someone come alongside you and encourage you? Sometimes that is all you need to make that change you’ve been wanting to make.

What are you waiting for?

Do you ever feel like a failure? Have you ever felt like you’re not good enough and maybe you ought to give up? I have!

Failure is defined as “lack of success or the omission of expected or required action”, but, individually, we tend to define failure based on our personal experience.

It’s been said that Thomas Edison failed thousands of times before he succeeded at inventing the electric light bulb. His own statement was, “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work. I am not discouraged because every wrong attempt discarded is another step forward”.

If you take a look at the book of Isaiah, chapter 58, verse 11, you’ll see that God is aware of our failure problems and offers a fix.

“The Lord will guide you continually,

And satisfy your soul in drought,
And strengthen your bones;
You shall be like a watered garden,
And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.”

We only fail when we stop trying and give up!

Don’t be afraid of failure. Like Edison, face it with a positive attitude, learn from your mistakes and keep moving forward. There is always a positive end result!

Look forward to the likelihood that there will be a day when you will be able to contribute a word of wisdom about failure!

I’m intrigued by the candor of this statement by Lecrae.

It seems to me that, as Christians, we should all be able to admit that we can relate. After all, admitting that we’re a mess is key to how we became believing Christians in the first place!

Jesus provides the power to make us new creatures, but His number one commandment of love for others is our marching order for encouraging and helping each other to clean up our mess. This is a big reason why I am committed to my coaching work. I see it is a part of God’s plan for me. He has allowed me to stumble, struggle, and even to fail – more than once! But He has equipped me with every need for serving and helping others to remove their mess.

So, it has become a passion for me to help others with the help that I have received from the Lord, and from people He’s placed in my life. He has allowed me to experience trials in my life for a reason! I seek His power of conforming me more to His image each day and through every trial. I’m also thankful for the recognition that His teaching me enables me to strengthen, encourage and comfort those He places in my path.

One of the special blessings of my coaching work comes from the added one on one time with Him as He helps me with each situation, resulting in an ever growing closer relationship.

Are you recognizing your mess and seeking God’s help in getting it cleaned up? Need any help?

Our Father allows a variety of storms in our lives, some for reasons we can discern and others for reasons that only He knows. He has disclosed to me that certain storms have provided me with understanding and insight that I can pass along to help others through similar storms.

In my coaching, I listen, encourage and motivate.  A coach works as a guide, coming alongside clients and directing them along a path designed to help them reach their goals and dreams. I always include guidance with encouragement in spiritual growth in their relationship with God, shining a light on the unique path that the Lord is creating for them through their own storms.

Can you use some extra encouragement and guidance along your path?

I find that church is an ideal place for the creation and enjoyment of fellowship. Being in the company of other believers is a special experience! I have the opportunity to connect with my church family, as well as with visitors, and to make new friends, too. I’m usually curious about what is going on in the lives of my friends and appreciate sharing with others who have prayer requests as well as reports of praise. As a single Mom and ‘solopreneur’, church fellowship presents an especially significant time for me. It frequently provides the gracious receipt of face-to-face support as well as opportunities to offer support to others who need it. Being in the company of fellow believers in Christ is, by itself, an encouragement as are the opportunities to share my beliefs and joy in the Lord with others in need of a spiritual boost.

Sharing with clients experiences of encouragement, that seem to abound in a vibrant church community, is one of my favorite aspects of coaching. It appears that God has gifted many who are drawn to coaching with the gift of encouragement, essentially a love to encourage others and build them up! It’s a privilege to be active in a position designed to provide help to others while also striving to bring glory to God.

Can you use some encouragement? I’d love to help!

Two primary facets of coaching involve help in finding the right direction and encouragement. A major key to providing a positive result is a willing attitude and desire on the part of the client to both receive help and to help themself.

From my experience working in the mental health field, I can’t count how many times my efforts to help clients were thwarted or frustrated because the person I was trying to help did not genuinely and wholeheartedly desire change. They wanted someone (whether me or God) to wave a magic wand, or say a prayer, and presto change-o! All done!

Finding the right direction and experiencing real encouragement takes desire, commitment and hard work, especially on the part of the client! There’s a correlation with the spiritual growth that occurs when a believer experiences the desire to know more about, and become a disciple, of Jesus. The desire and commitment, over time, for spiritual growth produces change. That person becomes more like Jesus when there is consistency in learning and responding to God’s direction day by day.

John Darby, a noted author has observed: “Spiritual growth is the Holy Spirit engraving the Lord Jesus on a man’s heart, putting Him into his thoughts, his words, and his ways, just as the Law was engraved upon stones.”

If you are ready for change, having a coach can help considerably. But, I invite you to first consider asking yourself a question.

“Do I have a desire for a relationship with Jesus Christ and for the spiritual growth that He desires for me?”

Oceans of Love!

Focusing on the endless horizon where it meets the sea helps me to comprehend God’s unbounded love for me.

Many long and difficult years have brought me to a place of understanding His great love for me. Deep belief in His love, taking it in, being able to truly feel it, and breathing it back out, becomes a special blessing!

God desires that we learn to see ourselves, and each other, through that lens of His love – a love that is both unconditional and endless. A perfect love that only He can provide.

It’s God’s desire that we love Him back and that we give His unconditional love to others and experience it in return.

Do you know how much the Lord loves you?

I’m a survivor. I’ve climbed a lot of mountains in my life and have lived to tell about it!

I have a compelling desire to encourage others by sharing the love and hope that I have found in Jesus and His redeeming power.

Coaching can present a unique opportunity to share some techniques for climbing difficult and changing terrain.

Interested in doing some climbing together?

In my coaching practice, when I am sharing truths given by God through His Word, one might say, by definition, that I am prophesying!

I do believe that God has encouraged me in life coaching to strengthen, encourage, and comfort others by sharing His Word and truths. I consider myself privileged to the extent that God uses me to help others in the same way that others have helped me.

Is it possible that God is calling you to be a prophet in this world? Is there someone you can strengthen, encourage or comfort?

Maybe you could use some added strength, encouragement, or comfort? If so, Im here to talk with you.

I want to encourage you today. If you’re feeling discouraged or overwhelmed, I hope this message will encourage you. Maybe you feel like there is no way out of your present situation or there seems to be a mountain standing in your way.

At times like these, I remind myself that God has good plans for me and there is hope! When I have a feeling like this, I set aside some time to look into God’s Word, especially to read and think about the good news of salvation, the new life that Jesus brings, and the wonderful plan that He has for me.

I want you to understand that there is reason for you to be encouraged as well! I am here if you would like to talk about it.
